Switching stable software before the turn of the year
If your stable app is changing or closing, it's a good moment to pick one that keeps your yard's records the way the inspector and the vet ask for them. Here's what Horsies gives a yard, and how to start.
Add Medication

What your yard gets
Horsies keeps the records a yard is asked for and shares them with everyone who looks after the horses. For a yard, four things stand out:
- The medication record, kept as you treat: the withdrawal period from the Hippos list, the dose, who started the treatment and where the medicine was bought, printed per horse in the Stable Folder.
- The feed record from every delivery, with supplier, manufacturer and batch, printed five years at a time.
- One medicine for many horses: a deworming or a treatment for the whole yard in one go, each horse with its own record, allergy check and expense.
- Free sharing per horse: owners, riders, staff and the vet join at no cost, each with the role that fits, and private entries stay private.
Entries that stay as written
Only the person who wrote an entry, or the horse's owner, can change or delete it, and every change is kept with the old values, who made it and when. Allergies and reactions show on the horse's profile and on the feeding and medication boards, and a medicine that matches one has to be confirmed before it saves. The app works in the barn without a signal and syncs when you're back in range.
Getting started
The trial starts when you add your first horse, and no credit card is asked for. Getting going takes four steps:
- Add your horses. Each gets a profile with its UELN, microchip and passport details.
- Make one feed plan, copy it to the other horses and change what differs.
- Invite the team by email. Sharing is free, and each person gets the role that fits.
- Log as you go: treatments, feed deliveries, farrier and vet visits. The Stable Folder builds its records from them.
In your language, on any device
Horsies is in English, Finnish and Swedish, and each person on the team picks their own. It runs in the browser on a phone, a tablet or the office computer, with nothing to install from an app store.
